3. simulation - Smithsonian Eucation - idea labs

I found a very interesting simulation on the Smithsonian Institution website - http://www.smithsonianeducation.org/students/idealabs/idealabs.html This simulation is on the space race and Apollo 13. Students can read and see what it is like to eat in space, sleep in space, who was on that mission, etc... I think it is a great resource for students to use when learning about space missions. I think students would enjoy looking through this and find it more interesting than just reading about in a textbook. I would use it during a history or social studies lesson in elementary school.

  2. I thought this was a pretty cool site. It would be very helpful in the classroom especially since Space is not really something students can just go and check out. The site did a good job showing students what Space and astronauts' lives, etc are all about.

  4. This was a really cool site because it offers a closer insight into space history and travel. It is hard to provide hands on learning to students when it comes to space lessons but I think this website does a great job at making the idea of life and space travel more relevant to their lives.
